The MMU Eagles came into this game 2 – 0 but hadn’t truly been tested since the season began.
This game was touted as the biggest challenge for the Eagles new coach (Rick Hurst).
The Lincoln Colonials had just joined a supposedly weaker division, so you could see Manny Met as under dogs.
The game didn’t actually begin till an hour after its initial start time!
Apparently the medical staff wanted a Sunday lie in…
Eventually however, the game began!
Lincoln pressed early, taking advantage of a Eagles team, with only their back up Quarterback (Robin)
Their running back made some solid progress pressing the Eagles. However, the defense made up for some stagnant MMU offense with key stops!
Perhaps the Eagles were lucky to go into the half tied 0 – 0.
Yet that is how it went and neither team could really complain.

The second half saw one major addition to the Eagles line up!
Robert Duck returned allowing star receiver Robin to focus on what he does best.
After a defensive stop by MMU it was there turn! And they made sure to deliver the goods!
The great offense didn’t end there.
From this point on (spoiler alert) MMU had a lot of confidence!
The Quarterback (who really isn’t known for his running) must have been inspired by his defense when he pulled out this highlight.
When it rains it pours and MMU was by no means finished but play would be halted for what looked like a serious injury!
But two ice packs later he is right back out there.
A little later Ducky hit Joe for a massive reception again!
The bane of recording… A big head in the way of a great catch!
The dagger by all accounts, Lincoln never quite looked the same after this score (No head in this shot).
The game was pretty much over from this point! There was another touchdown but it came from a one yard line conversion!
It was an overall dominant performance by a team that has had some serious coaching changes since last year.
A few key pieces and a couple change arounds have really turned the tide in their favour, just look at how ecstatic they are about it!
